Edward Page-Turner gazetted Cornet 1810, Lieutenant 1811-1813 , Captain 1814 .

In 1806, the regiment was again re-designated, this time becoming a hussar regiment  as the 10th (Prince of Wales's Own) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons (Hussars), and sailed for Corunna in Spain in November 1808. The regiment saw action at the Battle of Sahagún in December 1808 and the Battle of Benavente later in December 1808 during the Peninsular War. At Benavente the regiment captured General Charles Lefebvre-Desnouettes, the French cavalry commander. The regiment then took part in the Battle of Corunna in January 1809 before returning to England.

In 1813, having landed once more in Spain, the regiment fought at the Battle of Morales in June 1813. During the battle the regiment destroyed the 16th French Dragoons between Toro and Zamora, taking around 260 prisoners. The regiment also fought at the Battle of Vitoria later in the month while still in Spain and then, having advanced into France, fought at the Battle of Orthez in February 1814 and the Battle of Toulouse in April 1814. As part of the 6th Cavalry Brigade, the regiment charged the French cavalry and infantry at the Battle of Waterloo in June 1815.

His Brother Francis :  cornet 1813 and Lieutenant 1814

On the return of the regiment from the Peninsula Campaign, the said Captain Edward Page-Turner and Lieutenant Francis Page-Turner (his brother)  were among officers who returned  and were quartered at Brighton where the regiment was stationed  from 16th May 1810 to  16th May 1812. On the 2nd March 1814 a squad of the 10th Hussars  under the command of Captain  Joseph Smith joined the head quarters at Devies under the command of Lord Edward Somerset. This detachment  amongst which was Captain Edward Page-Turner  sailed  in a fleet of 26 Transports under convoy of Captain Palmer RN commanding  H M Hebrus and landing troops  near St Sebastian marched  across the Pyrenees and descended into France by St Jean de Luz , crossed the  Gave de Pau and marched by Peyrehorade to Dax.

After the close of the Peninsula campaign the 10th Hussars embarked for England on the 15th & 16th July 1814 landed at Dover and marched to Brighton where at arrived on the 24th July 1814. About this time several of the Officers  addressed a letter to the second in command containing animadversions or criticisms on the conduct of Colonel Quentin during the war. This officer demanded a court martial which was granted and the court assembled at Whitehall on the 17th Oct  1814. After due investigation of the charges  against  Colonel Quentin, he was acquitted and in consequence of this several officers  who signed the letter were removed and appointed to other regiments. As the names of Edward and Francis Page-Turner  do not appear  on the strength of the regiment, after this occurrence it may be inferred that they signed the letter of complaint.
