Benjamin Blaydes 1735 – 1805 Purchased High Paull Manor, which was sold by William Constable to Benjamin Blaydes, a Hull shipbuilder, in 1769. Also of Melton is a village in the civil parish of Welton , East Riding of Yorkshire , England. It is situated about 8 miles (13 km) west of Kingston upon Hull city center near to the Humber Estuary and about 0.6 miles (1 km) east of the village of Welton, with which it is nearly contiguous. Also lord of Sutton, Paull, Thorngumbald, and Dimblington manors. Married about 1775 Kitty Scott (Blaydes) in Marylebone, Middlesex, England, and co-heiress of Christopher Scott Aldborough in Holderness and had the following children : Benjamin Blaydes born August 1776 at Melton.
