Sir Gregory Osborne Page-Turner by John Hoppner RA 1758-1810 The Pages of Battlesden became Page-Turner when Sir Gregory Page-Turner succeeded his great uncle in 1775 (Thomas Page) A Charming Poem to his little son Gregory Osborne on the latter’s 12 th birthday begins :   “Dear Gregory, thou graceful boy, Thy fathers pride, thy mothers joy”   GREGORY OSBORNE PAGE-TURNER (4th baronet of Turner, 2nd of Page-Turner) was born at 11 Portland Place, Marylebone on 28 Sept 1785. He was educated first at a school at Greenford in Middlesex, kept by the Rev. Mr. Hooker and the Rev. M. Dodd successively, and afterward under the tuition of the Rev. John Smith, at Eaton Bray, co. Bedford. From the latter place he was removed to Harrow, and subsequently to the Rev. W.
