Cassandra Turner, Baroness Hawke (1746 – 1813) British Hanoverian novelist

  Cassandra Turner Baroness Hawke 1746-1813 with her son Edward Hawke-Harvey, 3rd Baron Hawke (1774–1824) by Thomas Beach 1738-1806  Cassandra Turner was born (Feb 28, 1746), she was the youngest daughter of Sir Edward Turner, second baronet of Ambrosden in Oxon and his wife Cassandra Leigh. She became the wife of Martin Bladen (1744-1805) the second Baron Hawke of Towton and became the Baroness Hawke. He was the son of  Admiral Edward  Hawke , 1st Baron Hawke of Towton  and  Catherine  Brooke . He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Saltash of the Oxford University between 1768 and 1774. He graduated from  Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England , with a Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.) He succeeded as the  2nd Baron Hawke of Towton, co. Elizabeth Saye and Sele (nee Turner) 1741-1816

Elizabeth Lady Saye & Sele 1741-1816 before Ambrosden House by Thomas Beach 1738-1806  Elizabeth daughter of Sir Edward Turner, 2nd Bart. of Ambrosden  and his wife  Cassandra daughter of William Leigh of Adlestrop. Born 18.2.1741 married 1767 Thomas Twistleton 7th Baron Saye & Sele In the following year, 1768, Lord Saye and Sele sold Horsmans Place and other lands in Kent (his father had inherited these Twistleton estates in 1757), and this sale appears to have provided the money for a considerable amount of work which was carried out at Broughton over the next few years. This work consisted largely of redecorating much of the interior in the newly fashionable Gothick style: the hall was given a new ceiling, a small library was formed between the hall and the dining parlour; the long gallery was refurbished, the first-floor rooms between the hall and the chapel were redecorated, and a number of windows renewed. Sir Edward Henry Page-Turner 6th bt 1823 - 1874

  Sir Edward Henry Page-Turner 6 th bt 1823 - 1874 by Eden Upton Eddis His parents were Sir Edward George Thomas  Page-Turner (5th Baronet) and his wife   Sophia Williams, he was born at Boulogne 3 Oct 1831, Baptized at the Protestant Church, rue du Temple, Boulogne. Entered Christ Church College, Oxford 1843, aged 18. B.A. 1847. M.A.1852. He married on 10 August 1872 at Trinity Church, Brampton, Middx, Marian Otway, daughter of Charles Otway of Norwich. He died on 20 March 1874 aged 50. His Will proved on 9 th May 1814. She died at Battlesden House, Preston Park, near Brighton, on 25 Sept 1902 and was buried at Brompton Cemetery. Having no issue the Page-Turner baronetcy became extinct. In 1890 Bramblehanger Manor, now Great and Little Bramingham Farms, was purchased by the trustees of the will of Sir Edward Page Turner, deceased and remained in the Page Turner family into the 20th century. Sir Edward George Thomas Page-Turner, 5th Bt.   Sir Edward George Thomas  Page-Turner , 5th Bt. was born on 12 September 1789. He is the son of  Sir Gregory  Page-Turner , 3 rd Bt.  and  Frances  Howell . He married  Sophia  Williams , daughter of  Andrew  Williams , on 1 December 1818. He gained the rank of Captain in the 10th Royal Hussars (PWO.) ,  He fought in the Peninsular Wars. He succeeded as the  5th Baronet Turner, of Ambrosden, co.
